Let's make a visit to future classroom!

The "Star Trek" style touch screen class room of the future that set to replace books and blackboards, I eagerly wish that this invention would have been discovered long ago so I could be able to use that desk.
Although it's a great invention , this multi touch multi user-smart desks have been trailed in a three year project by more than 400 pupils , and have been the 'Star Trek Classroom'.
Studies have shown that the smart desk can significantly improve pupils maths.
Smart desk can have benefits over doing mathematics on paper.

Researches says that watching that what your friends doing , and being able to fully participate in group activities , offers new ways of working in class.
Lead researcher, Professor Liz Burd, School of Education, Durham University, said: 'Our aim was to encourage far higher levels of active student engagement,  where knowledge is obtained by sharing, problem-solving and creating, rather than by passive listening.
'This classroom enables both active engagement and equal access.
'We found our tables encouraged students to collaborate more effectively.
'We were delighted to observe groups of students enhancing others’ understanding of mathematical concepts.

'Such collaboration just did not happen when students used paper-based approaches.'
The project called SynergyNet set out to integrate a fully collaborative system of desks, building it into the 'fabric and furniture of the classroom'.

The new desks with a ‘multi-touch’ surface are the central component, and are networked and linked to a main smartboard.

In terms of current teaching, the new system means that the ‘move-to-use’  whiteboard is by-passed and the new desks can be both screen and keyboard.
The desks act like multi-touch whiteboards and several students can use any one  desk at once.

The technology allows all students to take part rather than one individual dominating.

The teacher plays a key role in the classroom and can send tasks to different tables to individuals and groups.
The teacher can also send one group’s answers on to the next group to work on and add to, or to the board for a class discussion.

A live feed of the desks goes directly to the teacher who can intervene quickly to help an individual while allowing the group work to continue.
Professor Steve Higgins said: 'Technology like this has enormous potential for  teaching as it can help the teacher to manage and to orchestrate the learning of individuals and groups of learners to ensure they are both challenged and supported so that they can learn effectively.'
Researcher, Emma Mercier, School of Education, Durham University, said: 'Cooperative learning works very well in the new classroom because the pupils interact and learn in a different way.
'The children really enjoy doing maths in this way and are always disappointed when you turn the desks off.'
'We can achieve fluency in maths through practice, however, boosting a pupil’s ability to find a range of solutions to arithmetic questions is harder to teach.
'This classroom can help teachers to use collaborative learning to improve their pupils’ flexibility in maths.'

TECHNOLOGY OF 21ST CENTURY

There is a belief that if all the peoples in this world bring their wealth together and distribute it equally among people of the world , so after some time there would definitely be three classes , the upper class-the most refined class, the middle class and the lower class, why this would happened ?, this is due to the fact that lower class earn money by their labouring , middle class make money by utilising their intellectual capabilities as well as money and the upper class make money with their money. Now in this era of 21st century technology has also become the cause to earn a wealthy livelihood, people welcome new technologies if they are fastest and latest. There is no doubt that in the upcoming year we will be having a fully technically oriented society.
IBM has introduced some technologies in the annual "INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER ELECTRONIC SHOW "  held in LAS VEGAS ,and according to IBM these technologies will definitely turn the life of the people and these technologies will become the part of  common man by 2015.

3-DIMENSIONAL TECHNOLOGY:
First one is 3-dimensional technology , by this technology we will visit a new world of web browsing and chatting with friends, by this we will be able to see 3-D image of our loved ones living in any where in the world on our smart phones.

LITHIUM AIR BATTERIES:
Second thing which has explored is in the world of batteries , a new kind of battery is "lithium air batteries" that will charge themselves by air in the same way we charge our selves by inhaling oxygen from air, these kind of batteries will not only used in cell phones but all the things that are operated through batteries , may be car in the future.

COOLING SYSTEM:
Thirdly , scientists are working to make small channels on computer chips that will restore all the heat energy emitted from computers and use them in the heating and cooling system of buildings and this will enhance the working condition of your system because due to heating effects computer efficiency decreases.

GPS SYSTEM:
Fourthly a GPS SYSTEM global positioning system by which we will be enable to know that at which road we will probably meet a traffic jam .Finally data technology  by which it will make every person in this world to play his/her role in the world of technology.

Most brilliant shining stars from PAKISTAN!

Pakistan is being proud on having on its credit a series of genius, most talented , and competent people which the world has ever seen , because the people from outside the world can't even imagine that a country like Pakistan where everything is going so abnormally could produce such a talent that work on such a level that they are able to made a world record.Following are the brilliant examples:

ARFA KARIM RANDHAWA:

She was such a incredible brilliant student that in 2004  at a age of only nine years became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs) in the World as a title she kept until 2008.She was invited by Bill Gates to visit the Microsoft Headquarters in USA.
She was awarded many times by Government and International Organizations of Science and Technology. She has represented Pakistan in various International forums, she was invited by IT professionals in Dubai. In  2006 she was invited by Microsoft to be a part of the keynote session in the Tech-Ed Developers conference held in Barcelona. Unfortunately this brilliant girl died at a age of only 16 sixteen, she was a proud for Pakistan.

UBAIDULLAH:

A Pakistani student M. Ubaidullah from Baluchistan province has bagged gold medal in an International contest held in Turkmenistan leaving all the countries like Germany,Canada,Russia,England,India,Bangladesh, Sri Lanka behind.
He has brought gold medal from the International Computer Project Olympiad (ICPO) held in Ashgabad ,

The competition was held among forty five countries who represented one hundred and fifty projects in Turkmenistan.Olympiad .His Project was "Plant Automation system"subsequently he was awarded first position in hardware category. His Project aims to save plants in cold flame and and green house setting when someone wants to protect the plants at home in all season. P-Bot helps people save time by in caring about plants and is power thrift by powering itself by its solar cells. The microprocessor board optimizes the maximum energy possible to power the bot to fulfill its duties.

Run your PC by your thoughts

Another amazing information or we call it a news for the technology lover and technology addicted people that it will happen nearly in future that you would be able to open any internet site by your thoughts only.Because scientist have claimed that they are working to invent such a computer that can read human thoughts.

Intel corporation is working on such a technology that by using it ,the human thoughts will be converted in words and your processor will be able to detect that and as an output display your required internet site, and the most amazing part is that it does not need any kind of activity perform by your hand.It will be the most advanced and most brilliant form of technology and it will definitely become the cause of a fantastic change.

Scientist are busy in reading human brain and all the activities perform by it so that they could be able to built such a system that could do summary of each and individual words and then comply it with the human brain so that the computer can use this system.

Your suitcase now follow you

Usually we use suitcase during travelling and it is very difficult for the people to carry heavy and loaded suitcase. An Spanish designer has designed a robotic suitcase that you don't need to carry it ,it will follow your foot steps by an automatic system.

There in the suitcase integrated a  Bluetooth sensors that detect signals by your smart phone in your pocket so by receiving signals by smart phone the Blue tooth helps in moving the bag along with you,and if the connection break between the Bluetooth and on the smart phone you will receive alerts on your phone and also your suitcase  will lock itself automatically and stop at the place where it had lost the signals.
